Clinical Approach

Individual Adults

Life doesn’t come with an instruction manual. If you’re going through a life transition, trying to cope with anxiety or depression, or are just not happy and don’t know why, it’s easy to feel lost and alone. It can be hard to regroup and get on a positive life trajectory. In individual therapy, I honor your expertise in your own life and offer a safe environment to explore your thoughts, engage with your emotions, and find a path toward healing.

Teens

Sometimes things get challenging, and you don’t know where to turn. Your parents might not understand, and your friends don’t have all the answers. In therapy, I provide a judgement-free space for you to explore and process your feelings. We will talk together about what is working, what isn’t, and what practical tools you can use to help yourself. Come to therapy to be heard and begin to better understand and support yourself.

Couples

Being in a relationship can be one of life’s greatest joys and it can be incredibly painful when things go wrong. If your relationship is heading down a bad path, you don’t have to struggle alone. Maybe you feel disconnected from your partner, you can’t stop bickering, or have trouble discussing challenging topics. We didn’t all grow up in families that showed us how to have healthy relationships, but you can develop these capacities as an adult, and I would love to help you and your partner with these challenging but doable tasks.

About Me

I believe that the foundation of therapy lies in the connection we establish—where you feel safe, heard, and understood. Feeling less alone is a good first step on the path toward healing. I create a space where you can freely express yourself, knowing that your thoughts, feelings, and experiences are met with respect. I’m a good listener and my clients say that I am easy to talk to. I incorporate humor and foster an informal connection in our sessions. By infusing lightness and laughter, we can find new perspectives, relieve tension, and strengthen our therapeutic bond.

During a session with me, you can expect a nonjudgmental and empathetic reflection of your own life. I ask thought-provoking questions, encourage self-reflection, and challenge you to consider alternative perspectives, while building practical tools and actionable strategies that you can implement in your daily life. Together, we will uncover patterns, identify obstacles, and co-create meaningful solutions that align with your values and goals. Clients often find that working with me helps them open up, gain awareness of their thinking patterns, and break free from negative spirals.

When I'm not at work you can find me watching women's basketball and soccer, checking out the neighborhood bookstores and coffeeshops of San Francisco, and exploring Golden Gate Park.
